The S-462 is a parachute illumination (Para Illum), spin stabilised, base-ejected, parachute-suspended, illuminant charges, carrier projectile that has been used in the 2022 Ukraine-Russia conflict. The illuminant charge for the S-463 is 269,000 candlepower, burning for 30.40 seconds descending at 7.60 meters per second (24.93 foot per second).
